Video Argument

by

This is the final product of my Video Argument.  I chose to look at education and it’s relation to media as a tool.  Shows such as Sesame Street and Mister Roger’s Neighborhood have been around for decades, but, the question was, what do today’s technologies have to offer the area of educational media?  By combining several short but informative lessons, by means of video and animation, it would seem that I am able to teach a specific subject and get its point across while not losing my audience due to short attention spans.  Though, due to lack of time, my video remains shorter than desired, I feel that each section is of an appropriate length that would be able to teach the lesson to the young audiences but still not lose their attention.  Educational media is a lot harder than it seems at first because there is not only the actual video production that goes into it, but also the research of the various subjects that you are trying to teach and then checking to make sure that it is taught in a way that your target audience (let’s say six-year olds in kindergarten) are able to understand and enjoy.  All and all, I feel that my video touches on all of these areas and does work out how I wanted, if not better, in the end.
